Posts to this blog have been few and far between, but this is going to hopefully change now. I haven't really had much to blog about and anything that was post-worthy went onto my other site where a joint project was being developed.
Previously a friend and I would create projects together with the work divided between us. In more recent projects, my part of the project, the 3D, would overlap the other part of the project, the compositing, meaning there wasn't a huge amount of compositing for my colleague to do. We decided that it would be better if we continued to develop our projects separately, so I would provide the 3D for both of us to use and my friend would provide the footage and we would end up with 2 separate, but similar projects. We will each get a finished project and we are able to work at our own pace and in the software of our choice. The best of both worlds.
Like I said (or half said), I had been posting about the development of our project and the various problems that arise during production on the blog of our joint site, but seeing as we are no longer 'joint' I thought I would continue the posts over here on my own site.
I've also, with permission, ported over the posts relating to this project from our joint site onto my own so that the new posts aren't out of context. They are available here.
More to come.
Ray.
